Tween Yoga Series: Yoga for Middle Schoolers

Join Susan for this new, 6 class yoga series specially designed for tweens! Yoga helps tweens balance the body and mind, increases strength and flexibility, and gain new tools for dealing with stress and social pressures. Middle schoolers (grades 6-8) will practice yoga in a fun and supportive setting, gaining strength and building self-esteem. Space is very limited to ensure individual support and attention.
Susan is a certified Yoga for Teens and Yoga for Kids instructor, a mom of tween/teen girls, and a former middle school teacher. She can't wait to share her love of yoga tween practitioners at Shakti!
Class meets on 10/1, 10/8, 10/22, 10/29, 11/5 and 11/12 (no class on 10/15)

Compassion for others begins with self-compassion and self-care. Join us for an evening of healing through Yin and Yoga Nidra, accompanied by the soothing sounds of the crystal singing bowls played by Richard Grace. Jo Parsons will lead a compassion focused practice, with an emphasis on the heart chakra and exploring the heart meridian lines in the body. Relax into self-care and gain a sense of calm for the winter months ahead.

Experience the divine vibration of chanting and deepen your practice with live music. Stephany Simonelli and Craig Baldwin will inspire your practice with live vocals, harmonium, and guitar, as Tina Templeman leads a powerful, 90 minute vinyasa flow. The trio will open and close the practice in the Bahkti tradition of chanting together.
